The concept and architectural design of this monument was done by the General Officer Commanding 10 Infantry Division and Area Commander, Cox's Bazar area, Major General Ataul Hakim Sarwar Hasan, ndc, afwc, psc, Phd. In the process he was assisted by Major Muhammad Rizwanoor Rahman Rikabder of 16 Engineer Construction Battalion, who also implemented the construction of this project.
The black color on the shield reflects the mournful feelings for the martyrs of our liberation war. Blue resembles the sea and hills which mingle at the horizon at Ramu. The red color depicts the firm oath to up hold the freedom which was achieved at the cost of the lives of millions of martyrs where deep green color stands for the sovereignty of our motherland and patriotism of all the members of this division. The three golden arrows at the top symbolize unity, strength to defeat the enemy and aggressiveness. Golden colour of the arrow stands for the firm determination for a golden future of Bangladesh.
The construction of this masterpiece was started on 09 Oct 2016 and was completed on the 8th of February 2017. It was inaugurated by the Chief of Army Staff of Bangladesh Army General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq, SBP, ndc, psc
